Osbornes Architects delivered a full redesign and reordering of the ground floor to create a contemporary open-plan living space seamlessly connecting the entrance hall, dining room, living area and kitchen. The transformation provides a lighter, more flexible family environment with improved flow and functionality.

As part of the upgrade, all existing windows were replaced with high-performance glazed units, enhancing energy efficiency and comfort. A series of contemporary bay windows were also introduced to bring additional daylight into the main living spaces.

The interior features a bespoke oak and glass staircase as the visual centrepiece of the new layout, complemented by a wi-fi operated smart-lighting system that allows full remote control and custom lighting scenes.

Future-proofing formed an important part of the design process, with proposals developed to enable the future rendering of the external elevations, offering the opportunity to further modernise and unify the appearance of the property at a later stage.
