APOLLO VICTORIA
LONDON

Osbornes Architects sought approval for large-scale concrete repair works to the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London, addressing significant areas of ageing structural fabric within this iconic West End venue. As part of the project, Osbornes also developed proposals to record, conserve and protect an original decorative panel at the theatre’s entrance, ensuring the preservation of its historic Art Deco character.

Given the building’s status as a major live-performance venue, the principle of “the show must go on” is fundamental. The project therefore requires meticulous planning to phase the works in a way that avoids disruption to performances and maintains full operational capacity for audiences, staff and production teams.

This scheme demonstrates Osbornes’ expertise in delivering complex heritage repairs in operational theatres, balancing conservation requirements with the practical demands of a busy entertainment venue.
