Entrance Building & Canal St – Blist Hill
BLIST HILL
Heritage Construction | Museum Architecture | Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust
Blist Hill Victorian Town is one of ten museums operated by the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust, set within a former industrial complex in Madeley, Telford. As an open-air museum, it authentically recreates the sights, sounds and atmosphere of a late-19th to early-20th-century Shropshire town, forming one of the most significant heritage attractions in the region.
Osbornes Architects were appointed to support the delivery of the new visitor entrance building and associated Victorian street works, providing design input and site supervision throughout construction. Our role ensured that the new facilities complemented the historic character of the museum while meeting modern visitor-experience and operational requirements.
Blist Hill has been featured as a location for numerous film and television productions, including Doctor Who and Blue Peter, further underscoring its national profile and historic authenticity.
