This project involved extending a Victorian property to create a new kitchen and open-plan dining area. Osbornes Architects designed an open-roof extension, allowing the new space to feel larger, brighter and more connected to the existing house. The increased natural light and generous volume transform the rear of the property into a modern, welcoming family space.
The new layout is anchored by a central kitchen island, which links the extension to the existing galley-style kitchen, improving flow and creating a functional, sociable heart to the home. The resulting design respects the character of the Victorian property while delivering a contemporary living environment suited to modern lifestyles.
