Osbornes Architects were appointed to remodel the ground floor of this Victorian property, combining the existing kitchen and breakfast room to create a single, cohesive open-plan living space. A key part of the brief was achieving a high-quality result while remaining within a controlled budget. By designing entirely within the existing structural envelope, the project successfully avoided the additional costs associated with extending the building.
The interior design delivers a modern, functional kitchen that draws inspiration from the home’s Victorian heritage. A classic parquet timber floor and a contemporary framed kitchen help strike a balance between traditional character and modern living. The result is a bright, elegant and efficient family space that enhances the usability of the home while respecting its historic fabric.
