THE OLD FARMHOUSE – GLOUCESTERSHIRE
Listed Building Repair | Timber-Frame Conservation | Historic Farmstead Restoration
Osbornes Architects were appointed to undertake the full repair and refurbishment of a Grade II listed farmhouse and outbuilding in Lower Apperley. The project addressed long-standing issues with the building fabric, including complete reroofing works and the resolution of a persistent leak caused by historic poor detailing.
Extensive repairs were carried out to the timber frame and brick infill panels, ensuring the structural integrity and long-term resilience of the historic farmstead. Internally, the property was reconfigured and sensitively adapted to create a high-quality family home, blending modern comfort with the character and charm of the original building.
The completed scheme restores the farmhouse to its former quality while safeguarding its heritage significance for future generations.
