THE LYCEUM – LONDON
Listed Theatre Conservation | Fabric Repairs | Long-Term Maintenance Strategy
Osbornes Architects were appointed to deliver conservation and repair works at the Lyceum Theatre, home to The Lion King for over 25 years. The project focuses on the careful repair of terrazzo flooring, targeted render repairs, and the installation of new lead detailing, addressing areas of deterioration in this heavily used and nationally significant theatre.
As a listed building, the Lyceum requires a sensitive and well-informed approach to maintenance. These works are part of an ongoing programme designed to safeguard the building fabric, improve resilience, and ensure the theatre can continue to operate safely and successfully for many years to come.
The scheme demonstrates Osbornes’ expertise in delivering conservation-led repairs within live, operational theatres, balancing heritage requirements with the practical demands of a landmark West End venue.
