Grade II Listed Buildings | Conservation Roofing Works | Principal Designer
Osbornes were appointed as Architect and Principal Designer for the re-roofing and extension of the Grade II listed properties at 19–21 Henley Street. The works involved the full strip and replacement of the roof coverings, localised timber repairs, and the upgrading of the lead valley gutters serving the three adjoining buildings located next to the Shakespeare Birthplace Centre.
Given the prominent location and the operational nature of the ground-floor shops and cafés, the project required careful planning and phasing to ensure businesses could remain open throughout the works. The completed scheme has improved the long-term resilience of the historic fabric while safeguarding the character and appearance of this important group of buildings within Stratford-upon-Avon’s historic core.
